Faith is not just believing God for what He has done—it's trusting Him for what He will do next. The enemy loves to trap us in our past: past failures, past hurts, past seasons that felt unproductive, or past versions of ourselves.
But faith looks forward.
When God spoke through Isaiah, it was a reminder that He is always moving His people toward something new. God never calls you backward. He calls you to growth, to purpose, to transformation, and to a future shaped by His hand—not your history.
Your past may explain you, but it does not define you. Your mistakes may teach you, but they cannot limit you. Your setbacks may slow you, but they cannot stop God’s plan for you.
If God says He is doing “a new thing,” it means your story is still unfolding. What God has planned next is always greater than anything you’ve left behind.
Life Application
1. Don’t rehearse old battles
If God has delivered you, don’t keep replaying the pain. Let the past stay in the past.
2. Adjust your vision
Faith requires focus. Look toward what God is building, not what the enemy tried to break.
3. Speak forward
Align your words with God’s promises: “I’m growing.” “I’m healing.” “I’m moving into God’s purpose.”
Closing Prayer
Lord, give us forward faith. Help us release what is behind us and embrace the new thing you are doing. Strengthen our steps, sharpen our vision, and lead us boldly into the future You have prepared. Amen.
